Geekzone Pizza evening in Auckland done - and a success

By Mauricio Freitas, in , posted: 27-May-2008 08:22

Last night we had our Geekzone Pizza evening in Auckland and again we had 100% capacity - pizza, drinks, prizes and meeting some of our Geekzone friends. Just a shame we couldn't have a venue with capacity to host all interested people.

Thanks to our sponsor, listed here again:

Sponsors:

Pizza: Telecom New Zealand is paying for the pizza.

Drinks: 3Bit and Sprite Software are sponsoring the drinks.

Prize pool:

920 Career Agents are bringing Guitar Hero Legends of Rock 3 (game and guitar controller) for PS3 and Xbox 360 (check their IT Rock Star promo).

iway Computer is giving away an AverTV Hybrid Speedy PCI-e DVB-T card.

Ingram Micro is giving away a wireless laptop mouse and a Habu gaming mouse.

McAfee is giving us a few copies of McAfee 2008 Total Protection.

Quay Corp is giving us a Targus laptop bag to giveaway during the event.

The next event will be the Geekzone Pizza evening in Christchurch. Again, the event is 100% full now, but you can add your name to the waiting list - check the sponsors and prize list for that event. If you are interested in sponsoring the pizza, drinks or some prizes contact me now.
